Kaduna ALGON Threatens Legal Action Over Fake N4.6bn Vehicle Claim Against Governor Sani

The Kaduna State chapter of the Association of Local Government of Nigeria (ALGON) has issued a stern warning to one Imrana Wakili over what it described as false and defamatory allegations against Governor Uba Sani.

In a post shared on his X handle (@iu_wakili), Wakili claimed that Governor Sani approved a whopping N4.6 billion for the purchase of vehicles for local government chairmen.

Responding to the allegation, ALGON, through its spokesperson Alhaji Muhammad Lawal Shehu, dismissed the claim as entirely baseless and misleading. The association demanded an immediate retraction and public apology, warning that failure to comply within seven days would result in legal action.

“Governor Uba Sani has consistently demonstrated a commitment to fiscal responsibility and cost-saving since taking office,” the statement read. “The referenced document is nothing more than a fabrication, designed to deceive the public and fuel mischief.”

ALGON also sounded a warning to individuals and groups peddling false information to desist from such acts, stressing that it would not hesitate to pursue legal redress to protect the integrity of the governor’s administration.
