Obeagu People in Awgu Local Government Area of Enugu state have called on Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi to remember his promise to them in the year 2019.
The Obeagu Stakeholders and members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who felt disappointed by the refusal of the Party to sell nomination forms to some persons from Obeagu ward who are interested in contesting the forthcoming Local Government election in Enugu state.
Addressing UGAMATV, during their peaceful protest at the PDP, Enugu’s Secretariat, Engr Titus Ani said “in 2019 local government elections, Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi publicly promised Obeagu People that so long as he is in power, Obeagu person will be the next Awgu Local Government Chairman in 2022”.
“We are suprised that it’s seems as if the governor has forgotten his promise or he was miss advised” he said.
“We are in Enugu state PDP secretariat to express our anger that no one from Obeagu was allowed to pick form, Engr. Ani added.
It is worthy of mention that Obeagu is made up Eight villages namely Ugwu na Ngwu, Eziama, Amaoji, aAgbani, Ebenebe, Ugwuagbom, Amanze, Enugu na ato and Obuo.
