Just In : Many abducted as Bandits Storm Deputy Governor’s Ancestral Village.

 

At least several residents were abducted when suspected bandits stormed Garin Idi, the ancestral village of Sokoto State Deputy Governor, Dr. Idris Muhammad Gobir, in Sabon Birni Local Government Area late Monday night.

The raid was reportedly led by notorious bandit kingpin Kallamu Buzu.

Security analyst Bakatsine disclosed the incident in a post on X (formerly Twitter) Monday night.

“Moment ago, notorious bandits kingpin Kallamu Buzu attacked Garin Idi community in Sabon Birni LGA, Sokoto State. The ancestral home of Sokoto Deputy Governor Dr. Idris Muhammad Gobir. Several residents were abducted during the raid,” Bakatsine wrote.

The exact number of victims abducted during the attack is yet to be confirmed.

As of Tuesday morning, neither the Sokoto State Police Command nor government authorities had issued an official statement on the attack.
