Jose Mourinho accused of ‘leaving former club Fenerbahce with a £656k bill’ after length stay at the luxurious hotel

Legendary football coach, Jose Mourinho, has reportedly been accused of leaving his former club Fenerbahce with an eye-watering £656,000 bill after staying at a luxurious five-star hotel during his 16-month spell in charge of the Turkish Super Lig club.

The Portuguese star was appointed coach after his sacking at Roma in 2024. But the former Chelsea and Inter Milan manager was sacked just six games in to the start of the 2025-26 season.

Mourinho has since been appointed as coach at Benfica in his native Portugal, but according to reports, the 62-year-old has left the Fenerbahce hierarchy in debt.

After he arrived at Fenerbahce in June 2024, Mourinho was moved into the Four Seasons Hotel perched on the Bosphorus’ banks, which is housed inside a former 19th-century Ottoman palace.

The complex includes a spa and state-of-the-art gym, as well as indoor and outdoor swimming pools, with the former thought to be a favourite of the head coach.

Mourinho is thought to have been handed a jaw-dropping £7.7m payout to leave Fenerbahce earlier this season.
