Imo PDP Leadership Demands Accelerated E-Registration and New Member Drive

The leadership of the Imo State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has called on the LGA and Ward chapters of the party to intensify efforts to ensure that all members complete the ongoing e-registration, while also driving the enrolment of new members.

This formed part of the resolutions reached at the party’s special Executive Council meeting held at the party’s State Secretariat, Okigwe Road, Owerri.

The State Chairman, Austine Nwachukwu, who appreciated the progress recorded in the registration exercise so far, noted that the move to expedite and intensify the e-registration aligns with the intention of the Imo PDP to set the pace, not only within the party but also among other political parties.

The Chairman urged the party’s teeming members to immediately complete their online registration on the official website while tasking LGA and Ward Chairmen with stronger mobilization to achieve excellent results.

He declared the PDP platform open to Imolites from all walks of life, including those intending to contest for offices, adding that the PDP remains the most organized, deeply rooted, democratic, and welcoming political party in the state, operating under a unified leadership devoid of crisis.

In his remarks, the National Secretary and leader of the party in Imo State, Sen. Samuel Anyanwu, enthused that following the PDP National Convention, which produced a legally and widely recognized leadership, the party is now well-positioned for the 2027 general elections.

He stated that a sweeping wave of defections by top-ranking and influential politicians into the party is imminent, noting that this development reflects the renewed confidence in the party and its leadership in the State, especially after the resolution of the leadership issues at the national level.

The party also outlined other programmes to follow the recently concluded Women Summit, the ongoing Imo PDP Football Tournament, and the forthcoming Youth Summit, as it seeks to reach and empower more Imolites.tform with massive followership in every nook and cranny of the state.
