Veteran Nollywood actress Bukky Wright has stirred reactions after sharing her views on finances and responsibilities in relationships.

Speaking during an interview, the actress said she dislikes hearing men describe women as “gold diggers,” arguing that a man should be capable of taking care of his partner.

“I hate it when I hear men calling women gold diggers. What do you expect her to dig?” she said.

Bukky Wright maintained that a woman should be a source of pride to the man she is with and advised women never to settle for less.

She added that men who are not financially prepared for the responsibilities of a relationship should either date within their means or wait until they are ready before pursuing one.
