Nigerian rapper Ice Prince has candidly shared his personal struggles with cannabis use, admitting that his skill in rolling the substance has made it difficult to quit.
Speaking on the Konnected Minds podcast, the artist expressed regret over acquiring the habit, explaining that knowing how to roll cannabis has contributed to frequent and excessive smoking.
“I wish I never learned how to roll,” he said. “If I hadn’t picked up that skill, I might have smoked less—or not at all.”
Ice Prince clarified that he does not use other drugs or combine cannabis with any substances. However, his pride in personally preparing his cannabis has led to routine use, including in professional environments like the recording studio.
“I don’t let anyone roll cannabis for me,” he added. “I don’t do drugs, and I don’t mix cannabis with anything crazy. But because I can roll, I end up smoking whenever I wake up or when I’m in the studio.”
The rapper’s frank admission sheds light on the challenges of self-control and the role of routine in substance use, resonating with fans who may be dealing with similar experiences.
