GERRARD RULES OUT BALOGUN, ARIBO FOR KILMARNOCK CLASH

Nigerian duo Leon Balogun and Joe Aribo has been ruled out of Glasgow Rangers’ Scottish Premier League match-day five clash against Kilmarnock at Ibrox Stadium on Saturday (today) by manager Steven Gerrard.

Balogun picked up a quad injury against St Johnstone on match-day three and was substituted after the first 45 minutes of the game.

Aribo on his part, sustained an ankle injury during training last week, which ruled him out of The Gers’ goalless draw against Livingston at the Tony Macaroni Arena last Sunday.

“Balogun and Aribo won’t make the weekend. I think both have a good chance for the following week,” Gerrard told a pre-match conference on Friday.

However, both players are expected to be available for selection when Rangers’ travel to face Hamilton Academical at the Fountain of Youth Stadium on August 29.

Rangers currently lead the Scottish Premiership standings on goals difference with 10 points after just four matches.
