Fire Guts Filling Station in Ikorodu, Lagos

There was pandemonium on Friday as fire gutted A1 Petroleum Filling Station, an independent oil dealer located on Isawo Road, off Agric Bus Stop, in Ikorodu, Lagos.

 

As of 1 p.m., the extent of property damage and possible casualties had yet to be confirmed. The exact cause of the fire is still under investigation.

 

Eyewitnesses said the inferno reportedly started from a diesel-laden truck within the premises, quickly spreading through the facility.

 

Operatives of the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, supported by other emergency responders, were at the scene working tirelessly to contain the blaze and prevent it from escalating to nearby properties.

Authorities have assured that investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of the incident, while efforts continue to ensure the safety of lives and property in the area.
