The Obeagu Ward in Awgu Local Government Area, has commended Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi’s achievements in Enugu State, saying his leadership had brought developments and lasting peace in the State.

The commendation was given on behalf of Obeagu by a community leader, Hon. Tochukwu Chukwu, who is also a stakeholder and executive of PDP in Awgu L.G.A during the the party’s monthly meeting at Awgu at the weekend.

He hailed Ugwuanyi, whom he described as amiable, for his commitment to the people of Enugu State and his good works for them.

“Gov. Ugwuanyi deserves commendation for making sure that we enjoy top-notch security, peace and calmness in the state even between parties.

“His decision to pay salaries of workers promptly unlike in many other states has ensured industrial harmony in the state while also helping to sustain the economy of Enugu State.

“His infrastructural development strides, his charitable acts towards students and the poor, as well as his huge investment in the education sector deservesm great commendation”, he said.

Speaking further, Hon. Chukwu, who is equally the CEO of Ugama TV, a virtual multimedia news platform, tagged Ugwuanyi “not only the leader of the party but also a great leader of the state”.

“The people of Obeagu community in Awgu, thank the people’s Governor for always hearing the cries of his people, keeping to his promises, and proving that the undying support of Obeagu community for him never goes unnoticed.

“We remain grateful to our amiable leader for standing up for us and because we know that every promise he has made to us, he will fulfill as a man of his words”, he added.

Hon. Tochukwu earlier, recalled that Ugwuanyi out of his magnanimity had promised during a Awgu LGA courtesy visit to the Government House in 2020, to ensure that the people of Obeagu hold the mantle of leadership in Awgu L.G.A come 2022, as it is due to them.

Further expressing love and support for the Governor, he said, “We the Obeagu people also use this opportunity to celebrate Gov. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi whom we are so proud of, while sharing in his vision, being in tune with all his ambitions and following his lead as we look forward to being at the helm of affairs of Agwu Local Government”.
