“Eid-el-Fitr: Okolo Preaches Unity, Applauds Mbah’s Inclusive Leadership in Enugu”

The Executive Chairman of Awgu Local Government Area, Hon. Uchenna Joseph Okolo, has extended warm felicitations to Muslims in Awgu, across Nigeria, and around the world on the occasion of Eid-el-Fitr, marking the successful completion of the holy month of Ramadan.

In a goodwill message conveyed through his Special Adviser on General Media and Publicity, Hon. Tochukwu Chukwu, the council chairman emphasized the enduring values of love, peace, and forgiveness, urging adherents to sustain the spiritual discipline and unity fostered during Ramadan.

“It is with immense joy and a deep sense of gratitude that I join our Muslim brothers and sisters in celebrating the conclusion of this sacred journey,” Okolo stated, highlighting the significance of Eid-el-Fitr as a period of reflection, compassion, and renewed commitment to peaceful coexistence.

The Awgu chairman also used the occasion to commend the Executive Governor of Enugu State, Dr. Peter Mbah, for his inclusive governance and efforts in fostering unity across religious, ethnic, and cultural lines. He noted that Enugu State continues to stand out as a peaceful, prosperous, and accommodating environment for both indigenous and non-indigenous residents.

Okolo described the governor’s leadership as instrumental in strengthening harmony and development across the state, reaffirming that such an atmosphere remains vital for sustainable growth and social cohesion.

Extending his best wishes, the chairman prayed for a joyous and fulfilling Eid celebration, expressing hope that the occasion would bring peace, happiness, and prosperity to all.

“May this Eid bring a renewed sense of hope and a stronger bond of unity and love within our families, communities, and the nation at large. Let us carry the spirit of Ramadan with us as we move forward,” he added.

The message underscores the commitment of the Awgu Local Government leadership to promoting interfaith harmony and strengthening community ties in line with the broader vision of inclusive governance in Enugu State.
