“It is with immense joy and a deep sense of gratitude that I join our Muslim brothers and sisters in celebrating the conclusion of this sacred journey,” Okolo stated, highlighting the significance of Eid-el-Fitr as a period of reflection, compassion, and renewed commitment to peaceful coexistence.
The Awgu chairman also used the occasion to commend the Executive Governor of Enugu State, Dr. Peter Mbah, for his inclusive governance and efforts in fostering unity across religious, ethnic, and cultural lines. He noted that Enugu State continues to stand out as a peaceful, prosperous, and accommodating environment for both indigenous and non-indigenous residents.

Extending his best wishes, the chairman prayed for a joyous and fulfilling Eid celebration, expressing hope that the occasion would bring peace, happiness, and prosperity to all.
“May this Eid bring a renewed sense of hope and a stronger bond of unity and love within our families, communities, and the nation at large. Let us carry the spirit of Ramadan with us as we move forward,” he added.
