EFCC Arrests 37 Suspected Internet Fraudsters

Operatives of the Makurdi Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have arrested 37 suspected internet fraudsters in Wukari, Taraba State.

 

The suspects were apprehended on Wednesday, August 27, 2027, behind the Federal University, Wukari, following credible intelligence on their alleged involvement in cybercrime.

 

The commission confirmed the development in a statement posted on its official social media handles.

 

Items recovered from the suspects include two cars, 12 laptops, and 46 mobile phones.

 

The EFCC said the suspects would be charged to court soon.
