Under the leadership of His Excellency, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, the Enugu State Government continues to roll out deliberate, youth-focused interventions aimed at job creation, enterprise development, and sustainable economic growth.

 

As part of this commitment, the Enugu State Government, through the Enugu MSME & Startup Agency (Enugu SME Center), has launched the Enugu Youth Enterprise Launchpad (EYEL) — the first new programme of the year — in partnership with the International Labour Organization (ILO) and GIZ.

 

EYEL is a practical, hands-on entrepreneurship programme designed to equip young people across Enugu State with the mindset, skills, and tools required to build profitable, sustainable, and growth-oriented businesses, in line with international best practices.

 

Through the programme, participants will be supported to:

 

Identify viable and scalable business opportunities;

 

Develop core entrepreneurial skills and business confidence;

 

Transition into self-employment and enterprise growth; and

 

Build businesses that meet International Labour Organization (ILO) standards.

 

This initiative reflects His Excellency’s clear objective to ensure that young people are empowered not just with training, but with pathways to income, enterprise creation, and long-term prosperity.
