Tanzanian music star Diamond Platnumz and his wife, singer Zuchu, have announced the end of their marriage, with the couple now undergoing divorce proceedings.

Zuchu confirmed the separation in a post shared on her Instagram Story, revealing that she has decided to walk away from their six-year relationship to focus on her healing, health and career.

“We tried, but Allah has His own plans,” she wrote, adding that the decision was made with a heavy heart.

The singer also disclosed that she and Diamond Platnumz are now separated and in the process of divorcing, saying she has chosen to prioritise herself after years of trying to make the relationship work.

The couple officially tied the knot in June 2025 after dating for five years.

Following the announcement, Diamond Platnumz’s former partner, socialite Zari Hasan, reacted by praising Zuchu for enduring the relationship for as long as she did, referencing the singer’s past allegations of infidelity.
