DELTA ORDERS POLITICAL APPOINTEES , PS TO DECLARE ASSETS

THE Delta State Government has ordered all political appointees to declare their assets on or before August 28, 2020.

A statement titled, ‘Declaration of Assets by Public Office Holders,’ issued by the Director of Information, Dona Obuseh, on Thursday in Asaba, indicated that permanent secretaries were also included.

“It is hereby announced for the information of the general public, particularly political office holders and permanent secretaries that the Office of the Secretary to the State Government, will on Monday, August 28, 2020, commence enforcement of compliance of assets declaration as a precondition for processing of claims due to them.

“Consequently, the Office of the Secretary to State Government has directed that public office holders and permanent secretaries, who are yet to declare their assets, obtain Assets Declaration Forms from the Code of Conduct Bureau and ensure that the forms are duly completed and submitted to the bureau not later than August 28, 2020,” the statement read in part.
