Decomposing and partially burnt body found in uncompleted building in Minna

A decomposing and partially burnt body of an adult male was discovered in an uncompleted building within Talba Housing Estate, along Bida Road, Minna, Niger State capital.

The disturbing discovery was made by some residents of the estate on Sunday, December 7, 2025.

Mallam Mahmoud Dalhatu, the Desk Officer of Talba Housing Estate and the Mai-Ungwa of Albishiri Area, Minna immediately reported the incident to the Kpakungu Area Police Division.

According to the Desk Officer, preliminary observations suggest that the corpse may have been dumped at the location.

Upon contacting the deceased’s family, it was revealed that he had been battling certain health challenges; however, the relatives emphasised that such issues would not have led him to harm nor burn himself.

The deceased, a married man and father of seven, was also known to be the proprietor of an Islamiya school.

While the family has expressed their resolve to leave all matters to the judgment of Almighty Allah, police authorities have commenced a full investigation to uncover the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Residents of the estate are advised to remain vigilant and promptly report any suspicious activities to security agencies.
