Deadline Set: Iran Demands US Condemn Attack or Face University Strikes

Iran’s Revolutionary Guard has issued a warning to target US universities located in the Middle East.

This follows claims that US-Israeli airstrikes intentionally struck two Iranian universities.

The statement released by Iranian media declared, “If the US government wishes for its universities in the region to avoid retaliation… it must issue an official condemnation of the bombings targeting the universities by 12 noon on Monday, March 30, Tehran time.”

Furthermore, the statement advised, “We recommend that all staff, faculty, and students of American universities in the region, as well as residents in nearby areas maintain a distance of one kilometer from the campuses.”

Numerous US universities have established campuses throughout the Gulf region, including Texas A&M and Northwestern universities in Qatar, as well as New York University in the United Arab Emirates.

Reports indicate that strikes occurred overnight from Friday to Saturday in Tehran, affecting the University of Science and Technology in the northeastern part of the capital, resulting in damage to buildings but no reported casualties.
