Popular Nigerian R&B singer, Darey Art Alade, has lost his vehicle to a fire outbreak that occurred on Friday along the Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos State.
The incident, which happened around 4 p.m., left the car completely destroyed. However, no lives were lost in the accident.
In a joint statement shared on Instagram by his wife, Deola Art Alade, the couple expressed gratitude for safety, stressing that while the car was consumed by fire, the most important thing is that the driver escaped unharmed.
“Yesterday, our car caught fire around 4 p.m. on the 3rd Mainland Bridge and burnt to the ground. It was a shocking experience, but we are grateful that the driver was safe — and that is what truly matters. No lives were lost,” they said.
They added that the incident served as a reminder of how material possessions pale in comparison to the value of life.
