Court Grants Halle Bailey Restraining Order Against Rapper DDG Over Alleged Abuse

American actress and singer Halle Bailey has been granted a domestic violence restraining order against her ex-boyfriend, rapper Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr., popularly known as DDG, following serious allegations of physical abuse.

A Los Angeles judge ruled that DDG must stay at least 100 yards away from Bailey and is prohibited from speaking publicly about her or their child. The court also granted Bailey permission to travel with their 18-month-old son, Halo, to Italy, where she is scheduled to film for the next two months.

The restraining order was issued on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, in response to troubling claims detailed in court documents. Bailey alleged that during a January incident, DDG became violent while picking up their son. She said the confrontation escalated when she attempted to discuss visitation arrangements.

According to reports by TMZ, Bailey stated that while she was securing their son in a car seat, DDG began yelling aggressively, allegedly shouting, “Get out of my car, BITCH,” which left the child in tears.

The Little Mermaid star submitted evidence to support her claims, including footage of DDG damaging her Ring camera, photos of a bruised arm, and a chipped tooth. She also alleged that he threw her phone during the altercation.

Bailey and DDG reportedly ended their relationship in October 2024. The court’s decision marks a significant development in what has become a highly publicized and troubling situation.
