Breaking: Popular Enugu Security Head ‘Jango’ assassinated

There has been a rush of anxiety and panic in Enugu state capital as unknoiwn gun men strike again.

In less than ten hours after some unknown gun men killed 3 police men, shot a point-of-sale operator in the leg while making away with his money, and kidnapping a woman around 1.20pm at a police checkpoint near Lomalinda Estate, Maryland, a popular Security head Ogbonna Ani, popularly known as Jango has been shot dead.

Reports say there was heavy shooting in the Meniru area of the Coal City as gunmen wielding sophisticated weapons attacked the neighborhood.

Residents were said to have gone into hiding when bullet started raining at about 11:pm Thursday night.

A number of victims including Jango’s daughter were said to have sustained gunshot wounds. His security dog was also killed in the attack.

Details of the attack were still sketchy as at the time of this report but UGAMATV gathered that those injured are receiving treatment at Parklane hospital.
