Breaking: “Peter Mbah is Our Party” — Enugu Patriots Declare Unwavering Support for Governor Mbah’s Vision and Leadership

Enugu, Nigeria | August 3, 2025 — In a bold and emphatic show of solidarity, a group of influential stakeholders under the banner of the Enugu State Patriots have thrown their full weight behind the leadership and legacy of Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, describing him as “a political institution in himself” and “the face of transformational governance in Nigeria.”

The declaration came at the end of a high-level consultative meeting held at the Banquet Hall of Villa Toscana Hotels, Independence Layout, Enugu, where the group gathered to evaluate the Governor’s performance and reappraise the evolving political climate in both the state and the nation.

In a 4-point communiqué issued after deliberations, the Patriots stated unequivocally:

“Peter Mbah is our party. Wherever he leads, Ndi Enugu will follow.”

A Track Record Etched in Infrastructure and Human Capital Development

Reviewing Governor Mbah’s two years and two months in office, the Patriots commended what they termed “an unprecedented surge in infrastructural renewal, education reform, healthcare advancement, and economic expansion.”

Highlights of the administration’s accomplishments, as outlined in the communiqué, include:

  • Over 2,000 completed and ongoing projects across critical sectors
  • 260 Smart Green Schools delivering 6,500 new classrooms
  • 260 Primary Healthcare Centres offering 3,300 new beds
  • 260 farm estate clusters, each spanning 200 hectares
  • Water revolution: From 2 million to 120 million litres daily
  • Over 800 km of road construction, including dualisation projects in Enugu-Nsukka and Enugu-Abakaliki corridors
  • Reactivation of moribund assets: Hotel Presidential, Nigergas, Sunrise Flour Mills, and United Enugu Palm Products Ltd
  • Launch of Enugu Air, with three functioning aircraft
  • Modern transportation infrastructure, including five mega terminals and 200 CNG BRT buses
  • Advanced security command centre, touted as the most sophisticated in Nigeria, powered by AI and surveillance-enabled vehicles
  • Industrial investment: Including a tractor assembly plant and ICT hardware factories

A Mandate for Continuity

The Patriots not only affirmed Mbah’s strong leadership credentials but also signaled a compelling call for his re-election in 2027, anchoring their support on both performance and the established zoning rotation within Enugu State.

“Governor Peter Mbah has won the hearts of Ndi Enugu. His second term is sacrosanct, by God’s grace. He is not just a leader; he is a movement,” the communiqué asserted.

PDP Loyalty, but Mbah Above Party Lines

While acknowledging the long-standing relationship between Enugu State and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), the group noted that Governor Mbah’s performance has transcended partisan lines.

“With Governor Mbah’s exceptional performance, he has become a viable political party of his own. What matters to our people is the continuity of his bold vision to grow the state’s economy from $4.4 billion to $30 billion.”

Conclusion

The meeting ended on a patriotic note, reaffirming the group’s commitment to unity, progress, and peace in Enugu State, while calling on all citizens to rally behind the transformative leadership of Dr. Peter Mbah.

Long live Enugu State. Long live the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
