Besiktas Issues Update on Injured Super Eagles Captain Wilfred Ndidi

Turkish Super Lig club, Besiktas have provided an injury update on Super Eagles captain, Wilfred Ndidi, reports Completeports.com.

Ndidi sustained the injury in Nigeria’s 2025 Africa Cup of Nations quarter-final victory over the Desert Foxes of Algeria.

The defensive midfielder was suspended for the semi-final defeat to the Atlas Lions of Morocco.

The 29-year-old was, however, unable to feature for the Super Eagles in the third-place game against Egypt due to the injury.

Besiktas confirmed Ndidi has been diagnosed with a strain and bleeding in his biceps femoris muscle following an MRI performed by the Super Eagles’ medical staff.

They did not reveal how long Ndidi will be sidelined by the injury.
