Bauchi Man Arrested for Allegedly Killing His Father During Argument

Tragedy struck in Uzum Village, Giade Local Government Area of Bauchi State, as a man identified as Limam Muhammad Baba was arrested for allegedly killing his father, Malam Baba Siti, during a heated altercation.

 

According to security analyst Zagazola Makama, who reported the incident on X (formerly Twitter) on Friday, the incident occurred around 10:15 p.m. on Thursday, July 3. An argument reportedly escalated between Limam and his father, leading the suspect to strike the elderly man on the head with a stick.

 

“The victim collapsed on the spot and lost consciousness,” Makama wrote.

 

The matter was promptly reported to the Giade Divisional Police Headquarters at about 10:30 p.m. A team of officers was dispatched to the scene, where they arrested the suspect and took the victim to the General Hospital in Giade.

 

Unfortunately, doctors at the hospital confirmed that Malam Baba Siti was dead on arrival. His remains have since been deposited at the hospital morgue.

 

Police authorities have confirmed the arrest and stated that investigations are underway. Once concluded, the suspect will be charged to court.
