ARMED ABDUCTORS of DELTAN YOUTH PRESIDENT DEMAND #30 MILLION RANSOM

The Ohoror community in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State has been in great chaos as their youth leader, Alex Orukevwe, gets kidnapped by armed men.

UGAMATV was told that the victim was kidnapped on Tuesday around 7pm along Ughelli-Patani Road, before Otega Emerhor’s house, as the kidnappers shot into the air to scare passers-by.

The kidnappers were said to have since contacted his family with the victim’s mobile phone, demanding N30 million as ransom

The President, Youth wing of Urhobo Progress Union Worldwide, Kelly Umukoro, who disclosed this in a post on Facebook, condemned the incident while demanding an unconditional release of the youth president.

When contacted on Wednesday, Force Spokesperson in the state, Onome Onovwakpoyeya, confirmed the incident, adding that the Police are on a manhunt for the culprits to secure the release of the youth leader.
