Anambra poll: Bianca Ojukwu will vote for Soludo, says APGA

The All Progressives Grand Alliance has said Bianca Ojukwu, the widow of the party’s patriach, Dim Odumegwu-Ojukwu, has kindred affinity and consanguinity with the party.

It said the opposite parties in the state cannot incite her against APGA, stressing that she would vote for Chukwuma Soludo in the November 6 poll in the state.

National co-ordinator of APGA Media Warriors Forum, Chinedu Obigwe, stated this at a press conference in Awka, Anambra State, on Monday.

Obigwe’s reaction followed Bianca’s recent statement where she said the state governor, Willie Obiano, once referred to Ojukwu as a “dead man who was no longer relevant to the party.”

Bianca had recently stayed away from the party’s campaign inauguration for its candidate in the November poll.

But Obigwe at the Monday press conference said,”Notwithstanding the grievances of iyom Bianca Ojukwu, I say it boldly without fear of contradiction that she is praying seriously for Soludo to win the forthcoming November 6th election.

“Her grievances will not make her to sabotage APGA in this election and the last thing she will do is to vote for any opposition party candidate on November 6th.

“Good a thing that she said that the reason why she was absent at APGA campaign flag-off was to protest over her grievances and not that she is joining another party or that she will work against APGA.

“The opposition party members are labouring in vain to turn Bianca against APGA in this election because her vote and that of her supporters will not elude the party.

“She will personally vote for Soludo and will also ensure that her supporters does the same thing.

“Bianca knows very well that the worst thing to happen in her lifetime is for APGA to lose the November 6th governorship election hence the reason why she is praying for the party victory.

“I say this because someone close to her told me how she was worried that APGA has not kick-started campaign for the November 6th election.

“Now that the party leadership has done that, she is with them in spirit and wishing them a well-deserved victory in the election.”
