Tinubu Meets Yobe Governor, Police Minister Over State Development

 

 

 

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on Tuesday received Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State and the Minister of Police Affairs, Senator Ibrahim Gaidam, at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

 

 

Buni’s media aide, Mamman Mohammed,

in a brief statement issued, indicated that the meeting centred on collaboration and increased Federal Government support to boost infrastructural development in the state.

 

“They also discussed areas of improving security to support the developmental initiatives of the state government. President Tinubu commended Gov. Buni and the Hon. Minister, Sen. Gaidam for their commitment to the development of Yobe state,” he stated.

 

 

Many people in Yobe viewed the meeting as a means for Governor Buni to inform the President of his preferred aspirant in the upcoming APC governorship primaries.
