The entire sons and daughters of Agbuogugu both at home and in the diaspora joyfully congratulate Hon. Okonkwo Chinenye Samuel, fondly known as Air+Marshal, on his well-deserved emergence as the Youth Leader of Agbuogugu under the auspices of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Agbuogugu Chapter.

 

This victory, following wide consultations and due diligence, is in perfect alignment with the vision of the Federation of Agbuogugu Autonomous Communities (FAAC) both home and abroad. It is also a resounding endorsement of Hon. Okonkwo’s commitment to the progress of Agbuogugu.

 

A seasoned political actor and passionate philanthropist, Hon. Okonkwo has continually supported indigent students with school fees, empowered local businesses, and lent his strength to numerous political aspirants from Agbuogugu including those in pursuit of traditional leadership (igweship). His legacy of impact precedes this new chapter.

 

The youth leaders of all nine villages; Amuofia, Obinagu, Umuoye, Shikaghom, Umuobom, Akwu, Ohumagu, Umueve, and Umuowo unanimously affirm that this is leadership headed in the right direction. The decision wasn’t made lightly. It was a product of painstaking deliberations, reflecting the will and hopes of the people.

 

Despite his impressive credentials, former LGA Chairmanship Aspirant, President of Management Sciences (ESUT), football coach, and other leadership roles, we never imagined he would humbly accept this call. Yet, when our town’s future was on the line, Air+Marshal rose to the occasion.

 

We thank him for answering the call to serve. We urge him to lead with love, courage, and vision, and we, the youths and people of Agbuogugu, pledge our total support.

 

We also call on all traditional rulers (Igwe and their cabinets), Town Union Presidents (PGs), and stakeholders across the four autonomous communities and the nine constituent villages to respect and recognize this popular mandate. The emergence of Hon. Okonkwo represents not just a choice, but a statement of youth readiness for transformation.

 

To the general public, the Chairman of Awgu LGA, Commissioner for Youth and Sports, our representatives in the State Assembly, House of Representatives, the Senate, and our Governor—we invite you to stand with us in acknowledging and empowering this new era of youth leadership in Agbuogugu.
