“ADC Ignites Enugu West: Odumadu Unleashes Ward-by-Ward Mobilization as Membership Drive Gains Firepower”

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) Membership Awareness and Sensitization Committee, Enugu West Senatorial Zone, on Sunday, 15th February 2026, convened a strategic and action-driven meeting aimed at intensifying grassroots mobilization and expanding the party’s membership base across the zone.

The high-level gathering was presided over by the Chairman and Coordinator of Enugu West Zone, Hon. Kosy Odumadu, who commended the dedication of the Local Government Coordinators in attendance, notably Ugwu Charles (Udi LGA Coordinator), alongside other coordinators representing the five local government areas in Enugu West.

In his address, Hon. Odumadu underscored the urgency of deepening the party’s presence at the ward and local government levels, declaring that the time for passive engagement was over. He directed all coordinators to immediately establish 10-man pulling unit committees in every ward across Enugu West to spearhead the registration of new members and strengthen the party’s grassroots structure.

He further demonstrated his commitment by providing logistics support to each Local Government Coordinator to facilitate stakeholder meetings and fix dates for expanded consultations. The Zonal Coordinator assured members of his readiness to personally attend the scheduled local government meetings alongside his executive team to ensure effective coordination and implementation.

Hon. Odumadu also expressed profound appreciation for the steadfast support of respected party leaders including Chief Obodeze Ocho, Dr. SKC Ogbonnia, Dr. Ben Chukwu, and Barr. Kingsley Uduji, whose encouragement continues to inspire the growing movement within the zone.

In a moment of solidarity, the Zonal Coordinator extended warm greetings and gratitude to the ADC Membership Awareness and Sensitization Committee Chairman, Hon. Comrade AC Ude, acknowledging his leadership, guidance, and unwavering support in driving the membership initiative statewide.

State Leadership Support

Although unable to attend physically, the Enugu State Chairman of ADC, Comrade Stella Chukwuma, placed a call during the meeting to convey her heartfelt apologies. Currently in Abuja on official engagements, she expressed regret for her absence and reassured members that her thoughts were with them, wishing the deliberations great success.

The meeting also received a visit from members of the State Steering Committee — Lolo Queen Ngozi Nwankwo and Comrade Donatus Okolieuwa — whose presence further reinforced the seriousness of the exercise.

Clear Warning Against Complacency

In a firm and decisive tone, Hon. Odumadu warned that the membership registration exercise is not optional but mandatory for all coordinators. He stressed that any official found lacking commitment would be replaced without hesitation. Local Government Chairmen were equally directed to cascade the same level of discipline and seriousness to ward executives to guarantee measurable results.

Appointment Letters Issued

To formalize operations, appointment letters were officially presented to Local Government Chairmen and Secretaries, with immediate instructions to replicate the process at the ward level. This move, according to party officials, signals the official kick-off of structured mobilization across Enugu West.
