Abducted Nasarawa Governor’s senior aide regains freedom

The abducted Senior Special Assistant to Governor Abdullahi Sule on Humanitarian Affairs, Dr. Mohammed Egye Osolafia, has regained his freedom.

 

Mr. Osolafia, popularly known as Deedat, was kidnapped by yet-to-be-identified gunmen at his residence in the Tudun Amba area of Lafia, on Saturday, September 20, 2025.

 

He regained his freedom on Sunday night, barely a day after his abduction though it remains unclear whether ransom was paid.

 

Authorities are yet to issue an official statement regarding the circumstances of his release or the identities of the abductors, but security agencies have reportedly intensified efforts to track down those behind the attack
