A Look At ADC’s Plan For Women and Youth in National Politics

The African Democratic Congress, ADC, says 35 percent of its leadership has been reserved for female members.

The Interim National Chairman of the party, David Mark, made the remark on Tuesday during the inauguration of the party’s National Working Committee, NWC.

The former Senate President also revealed that ADC is committed to having youths below 40 years in its leadership across the country.

He stressed that the party’s gate remains open for next generations, emphasizing the need for youth inclusiveness in the nation’s building.

He said, “We will open the gates for the next generation. Our policies, nominations, and leadership roles will reflect meaningful inclusion of youths and women and not just tokenism.

“This is why we have reserved 35% of our leadership positions for women. It is also our commitment to have youths below the age of 40 years in our leadership.”
