The Chairperson of Awgu Local Government Area, Mrs. Chioma Vivian Okolo, has extended warm congratulations to the First Lady of Enugu State, Her Excellency Mrs. Nkechinyere Mbah, as she marks her birthday, describing her as a symbol of purposeful leadership and compassionate service.

In a statement issued through her Special Adviser on General Media and Publicity, Mrs. Okolo praised the First Lady’s remarkable contributions to social development, particularly her unwavering commitment to uplifting women, children, and vulnerable groups across the state.

She highlighted the transformative work of the Custos Care Foundation (CCF), an initiative spearheaded by Mrs. Mbah, noting that it has continued to provide hope and support to underserved communities while reinforcing the values of empathy and inclusion.

According to the Awgu Chairperson, Mrs. Mbah’s leadership journey stands as a powerful inspiration to many, especially young women seeking to make meaningful contributions in governance and public service. She emphasized that the First Lady’s mentorship and advocacy have significantly boosted female participation in leadership and decision-making processes.

Mrs. Okolo further commended Mrs. Mbah’s steadfast support for the administration of Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, particularly in advancing policies centered on gender equity, education, and human capital development—key pillars driving the state’s ongoing transformation.

Describing her as a “pillar of strength and a mother figure to many,” the Chairperson noted that Mrs. Mbah’s influence continues to shape a more inclusive and progressive Enugu State.

She concluded by offering prayers for the First Lady’s continued good health, wisdom, and strength, urging her to sustain her impactful service to humanity.

“As we celebrate her today, we honour a woman whose life reflects grace, resilience, and dedication to the common good. May her years ahead be filled with greater accomplishments and divine guidance,” Mrs. Okolo stated.
