Former presidential aspirant, Dele Momodu, stated on Wednesday that ex-Vice President Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi do not “own” the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
Speaking on Arise Television’s Morning Show, Momodu emphasised that the party alone will decide who will be its presidential candidate for the 2027 elections, warning that no individual dictates such decisions.
He said: “Regarding ADC, no one in the party can claim ownership—not Atiku, not Obi, nor anyone else. I am concerned about the false narratives some people spread on radio and television, attempting to rewrite our history.
“ADC will determine its ticket based on strategy, not at the direction of a single person. My advice to the party is that time is not on our side. Having tried to contest twice, I know that leading the elephant is no child’s play.”
