Woman hacks her 7-year-old daughter with machete for refusing to wash dishes

Police officers in Kericho County, Kenya have launched a manhunt for a woman who allegedly hacked her 7-year-old daughter using a matchet. 

The incident happened on Monday night, October 18, at Kitoi village in Kunyak, Kipkelion West sub-county.

According to witnesses who spoke to Citizen Digital, the woman reportedly ordered the girl to wash the dishes but she declined.

This is said to have angered her mother who then picked up a matchet that was nearby and hacked her on the head.

The girl is presently receiving medical attention while police officers trail her mother in an attempt to bring her to justice.
