Wike Debunks Suicide Bombing Report in Abuja

Minister of the Federal Capital Territory FCT, Nyesom Wike has dismissed reports of suicide bombing in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

Reports emerged on Monday that an explosion along Mararaba-Nyanya bypass was perpetrated by a suicide bomber.

But speaking on Wednesday, during a project inspection in Abuja, the Minister dismissed the report.

According to him, the victim had ignorantly carried an explosive material from a quarry site which exploded on him.

The FCT Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, had in a statement, said a victim sustained serious injury and was immediately rushed to the hospital for medical attention.
