The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has assured that residents affected by the ongoing road construction in Gishiri and other parts of Abuja have been duly compensated.
Wike made this known on Wednesday during the official commissioning of Arterial Road N16 (Shehu Shagari Way) to Arterial Road N20 (Wole Soyinka Way), along with other newly completed roads in the Katampe district of the FCT.
He also expressed appreciation to President Bola Tinubu for his unwavering support in accelerating infrastructural development across the capital city.
Speaking at the event, the FCT Minister of State, Dr. Mariya Mahmoud, acknowledged the patience and cooperation of Abuja residents throughout the duration of the project.
“To the people of Gishiri, Maitama, and the entire FCT, thank you for your resilience and for believing in the government’s ability to deliver. You are the lifeblood of this city, and this project is a reflection of your enduring hope,” she said.
