We are proud of your achievements – NIA tells Ishaku

The Nigerian Institute of Architects, on Thursday, said they were proud of the outstanding achievements and contributions of Governor Darius Ishaku of Taraba State to the development of Nigeria through his public policies.

President of the Institute, Arc. Sonny Echono who stated this on Thursday commended the Governor for his remarkable progress achieved in the development of education especially at the Taraba State University Jalingo.

Echono described Ishaku as an architect of immense repute who occupies a prominent position on NIA’s list of professional architects who have made the most impact on society through works of architecture.

This is even as he acknowledged the Governor’s water revolution, empowerment programmes and road construction in the State.

He said, “We are proud your achievements in Taraba and Nigeria. You are a good ambassador of NIA and we indeed proud of you.”

In a remark after receiving the award of excellence in recognition of his contributions to the development of Nigeria and his support to NIA, Ishaku said he was proud of the contributions of architects to the development of Nigeria.

“I am proud to be part of this great family. If I am to come back to this world a second time, I would still like to be an architect,” he said.

Ishaku commended the leaders and elders of the profession for maintaining high standards of professional practice and promised to do everything possible to promote the growth of architecture in the country.
