Update: Police arrest one suspect in connection with murder of Edo decorator

The Edo State Police Command has arrested a suspect following the brutal murd€r of a 30-year-old interior/ event decorator, Esohe Aigbe, in the state capital.

 

 

 

Relatives stated that Aigbe had traveled to the funeral venue on Ujo Street, located in the Ogida area of Benin City, to volunteer free design services as a personal contribution to a friend’s ceremony.

 

 

 

 

Unidentified individuals attacked her shortly after she completed the decoration work. She was rushed to the University of Benin Teaching Hospital with severe injuries but later succumbed to her wounds.

 

 

 

Command spokesperson Eno Ikoedem confirmed the incident to journalists, stating that preliminary investigations have linked an individual identified as Faith to the crime.

 

 

 

The suspect has been transferred to the Homicide Section of the State Criminal Investigation Department, and the police are actively working to track down and arrest any remaining accomplices.
