Update: Pastor Chris Okafor fails to honor police invitation

The Senior Pastor of Mountain of Liberation and Miracles Ministries, Chris Okafor, on Monday, January 5, failed to honor the invitation extended to him by the Lagos state police command.

 

 

 

On Sunday, January 4, the police had released a statement announcing its invitation to Okafor over allegations of multiple r@pe and other offences capable of causing a breach of public peace. In the statement released and signed by SP Abimbola Adebisi, spokesperson of the command, Okafor was asked to appear before the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of the State Criminal Investigation Department, Panti by 10:00 a.m. on Monday,January 5. However, Okafor failed to honor the invitation as he did not appear at the time allot to him and did not show up until midnight of Monday.

 

 

 

 

According to the police, the invitation followed several complaints bordering on alleged sexu@l offences and other acts capable of disrupting public order.
