UNITED KINGDOM TO RELAX LOCK DOWN ON…

UNITED Kingdom Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, has announced that bars, restaurants, hotels and salons can open in England from July 4, when social distancing rules will be eased.

According to the British Broadcasting Corporation, Johnson says people shall remain two metres apart where possible but a one metre plus rule would be introduced.

The Prime Minister, however, warned that all the steps were ‘reversible’ and added that two households in England would also be able to meet indoors and stay overnight – with social distancing.

He said, “The meeting of households will not be exclusive. So, for example, one set of grandparents could see their relatives one weekend, and the other set of grandparents the next.

“Our principle is to trust the British public to use their common sense in the full knowledge of the risks, remembering the more we open up, the more vigilant we need to be.”

The Prime Minister added that indoor gyms, swimming pools, nail bars and indoor play areas were among the list of businesses that would remain closed, as they have been on lockdown since March 23.

Scotland’s First Minister, Nicola Sturgeon, Wales’ First Minister Mark Drakeford and Northern Ireland’s Arlene Foster also said the two-metre rule would remain in place in their nations for the moment.
