UGWUANYI EMPOWERS UNN STUDENTS THROUGH ENUGU SME

The University of Nigeria Nsukka received an entourage led by Hon. Chilo Offiah who came for an Enugu SME sensitization tour on the School grounds.

The event which was organised to enlighten UNN students about various programs under the Agency and how they can make proper use of the opportunities herein, had over 5000 students in attendance.

Information gathered by UGAMATV posited that, Students who own small business in the School were also given a thorough run down of the activities of Enugu SME as well as the processes involved in tapping from the opportunities it has presented.

In a interview with Chioma Okeke, a 300level student in the department of Economics, she asserts as follows “I am filled with joy about what just happened in our School”

“We used to think that Enugu SME is not real Until today where lots of students were empowered intellectually”

“The climax of it was the testimonies given by students from other schools, i am very happy and promise to inform uninformed students about the activities of Hon Chilo Offiah’s led Enugu SME”

In another interview, Hillary Nwankwo a 200 level student in the department of Mass communication, extolled Enugu SME being a source of Hope, to the hopeless students in the School.


He also enjoined Enugu students across the state to utilise the opportunities in Enugu SME effectively.

“I am highly overwhelmed by what i witnessed today, it is like a dream because, i have this business idea that i once TESTED and it worked but stopped because of funds that are even below ₦100,000, but now, i am filled with great anticipation of a better me. “

” Enugu SME is the Hope of the hopeless students and Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi is a caring father to Enugu students “

We also gathered information that students within the state, who are willing to participate, can now apply for Human Capital Development Loan(HCDL), World-class Skill Acquisition programs, Free Capacity Development Programs, Access to Credit as well as Job Creation Schemes, Business Grants amongst others at the Enugu SME Center located at No. 2a Market Garden Avenue Opposite SME Roundabout along Ebeano Tunnel GRA Enugu.
