UBA Business Series to Explore Customer Feedback as Driver of Tech Innovation in Africa

United Bank for Africa (UBA) Plc will host the latest edition of its quarterly UBA Business Series on Thursday, July 16, with discussions focused on how businesses can turn customer feedback into technology-driven solutions tailored to Africa’s unique needs.

The virtual event, themed “Building for Africa’s Realities: Turning Consumer Feedback into Technology-Driven Solutions,” is scheduled to begin at 11:00 a.m. (WAT) and will be streamed live across UBA’s digital platforms, including its YouTube channel.

The session will bring together entrepreneurs, investors and innovators to discuss strategies for developing products designed specifically for African markets rather than adopting solutions created for other regions.

The panel features rapper and entrepreneur M.I Abaga, co-founder of Octerra Capital Ashim Egunjobi, and Chowdeck co-founder and CEO Femi Aluko. The discussion will be moderated by media entrepreneur Adaora Mbelu.

The speakers are expected to share insights from their experiences in building consumer-focused businesses, supporting entrepreneurs and using customer feedback to create products that meet evolving market demands.

Speaking ahead of the event, UBA’s Group Head of Brands, Marketing and Corporate Communications, Alero Ladipo, said the initiative reflects the bank’s commitment to supporting entrepreneurs across Africa.

According to her, successful African businesses thrive by listening to customers, adapting to their needs and developing solutions that address local realities.

The UBA Business Series is a quarterly knowledge-sharing platform designed to equip entrepreneurs, professionals and business leaders with practical insights for building sustainable businesses and navigating Africa’s evolving business landscape.

UBA operates in 20 African countries, as well as the United Kingdom, the United States, France and the United Arab Emirates, serving more than 45 million customers through a workforce of over 25,000 employees.
