2026 World Cup: Kevin Pietersen Tips England to End Argentina’s Title Defence

Former England cricketer Kevin Pietersen has backed England to defeat defending champions Argentina in tonight’s 2026 FIFA World Cup semi-final in Atlanta.

Pietersen shared his prediction in a post on X on Wednesday, saying Argentina would struggle in a manner similar to France during Tuesday’s semi-final against Spain.

“Argentina will play like France played last night,” he wrote.

France suffered a 2-0 defeat to Spain, ending their hopes of reaching the final. The Les Bleus will now face the loser of the Argentina vs England clash in Saturday’s third-place playoff, while the winner will advance to the World Cup final.
