Two women abducted in Abuja found dumped on the road

The Niger State Police Command has rescued two young women who were found dumped along Abuja-Kaduna expressway.

The spokesperson of the command, SP Wasiu Abiodun, who disclosed this in a statement on Wednesday, December 24, 2025 said the duo was kidnapped by three men while on their way to Gwarimpa to Kubwa in Abuja.

According to the victims, a chemical substance was sprayed on them after they boarded a private vehicle with three male occupants.

Upon regaining consciousness, they found themselves blindfolded and in an unknown location.

When the abductors failed to get ransom from their families, they took away their personal belongings and dumped them on the road.

“On the same 21st December, 2025 at about 11.45hrs, information received from Bakin-Iku Police post, indicated that two young ladies of Kubwa, FCT were sighted abandoned and helpless by the road along Abuja-Kaduna expressway laying down with suspected blood stains on their bodies,” the statement read.

“Police patrol team attached to Maje Div moved to reinforce the Police post and rushed the victims to a nearby hospital for medical attention. The victims were later stabilized medically and fully recovered.

“During an interview, they recalled that on December 15, 2025, they left home from Kubwa heading to Gwarimpa and boarded a private vehicle with three male occupants.

“The victims further stated that on entering the vehicle, a chemical substance was sprayed on them, and slept off. It was said that they woke up with blindfolds on their faces and were taken to an unknown location.

“While in captivity, all efforts made by the hoodlums to get ransom proved abortive. The victims were later taken on a motorcycle and they were abandoned along Abuja-Kaduna expressway while all their personal belongings were taken away by their abductors.

“The incident is under investigation, and the victims were reunited with their relatives.”
