Three men that allegedly stole a car belonging to a cleric in Gbongan, Osun State, were among nine suspected armed robbers and cultists paraded by the Osun State Commissioner of Police, Wale Olokode, on Tuesday.
Two of the suspects, Sefiu Adeboye (22), and Adekunle Odekanyi (210, were said to have stormed the residence of an Anglican priest in Akiriboto town with weapons and stole a Toyota Corolla and mobile phones.
Luck ran out on them, when detectives trailing the suspects arrested them in Warewa, Ogun State, with the stolen vehicle.

Olokode said the confession of the suspects led to the arrest of the third suspect, Simon Adewale, said to be palace guard in Akiriboto.
Adeboye, confessed to the crime, saying after stealing the vehicle, they took it to a relaxation centre in Lagos and later moved to Warewa in Ogun State, where the car developed fault, leading to their arrest.
Also paraded was 18-year-old Matthew Ajayi, who was accused of burgling two different shops in the Stadium Area of Osogbo.
The Commissioner said, “The suspect confessed to the crime and mentioned three other members of his syndicate now at large.”
