Two gunned down, DSS office burnt, teaching hospital invaded IN ANAMBRA

Gunmen on Sunday rampaged in Nnewi, the Anambra State commercial city, killing two persons.

UGAMATV learnt that the hoodlums burnt the office of the Department of State Services in the area and attacked the Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital, as they riddled the facility with bullets.

The incident happened around 2pm on Sunday.

A source said the gunmen patrolled the area in four sport utility vehicles for over two hours.

He said, “I saw some of them. They are among the people I see at the newspaper stand as free readers at the roundabout area of the town. Some people were hailing them as they operated.

“One guy, who I think was a student of NAUTH who attempted to do a video recording of the gunmen was shot dead, while another man was said to have been killed at the traffic junction area of the town.

“The gunmen later drove around the town, passed through Nkwo Nnewi Triangle and moved towards Nnobi Road, shouting, ‘We don’t want to see any Nigerian flag standing in Biafraland.’
