Troops overrun ESN hideout in Anambra, recover 41 guns, charms 

THE Nigerian Army on Monday said it has dislodged a criminal hideout used by the Indigenous People of Biafra and its armed affiliate, the Eastern Security Network, in Orsumoghu, Ihiala Local Government Area of Anambra State during a clearance operation.

It said during the operation carried out on Monday by its troops of 82 Division Nigerian Army, 41 guns and six cutlasses were recovered among others.

This was contained in a statement on Monday by the Director Army Public Relations, Brigadier General Onyema Nwachukwu, titled “Troops swoop on IPOB/ESN hideout in Anambra, recover arms, other weapons.”

The statement partly read, “Troops of 82 Division Nigerian Army conducting clearance operations along Anambra/Imo States border communities today (Monday) dislodged a criminal hideout used by the Indigenous People of Biafra and its armed affiliate, Eastern Security Network, in Orsumoghu, Ihiala Local Government Area of Anambra State.

“The notorious groups have serially launched attacks on defenceless civilians and security targets from the hideout.
