Tinubu’s 260 Palliative Projects 90% Completed — Minister Umahi

Minister of Works, Dave Umahi, has revealed that the Bola Ahmed Tinubu administration has achieved 90 percent completion of 260 palliative infrastructure projects across the country, valued at N208 billion.

Umahi made the disclosure during the 2025 Ministerial Briefings held in Abuja on Friday. He said the projects, which span all six geopolitical zones, reflect the administration’s commitment to alleviating hardship and boosting economic development through infrastructure.

According to the minister, 19 of the projects have already been completed in the last 23 months, while the remaining are nearing completion. He emphasized that the Tinubu-led government is also focused on delivering 64 new road projects and four major legacy infrastructure projects nationwide.

“Infrastructure development, especially in the road and bridge sector, is critical to economic growth and an increase in the Gross Domestic Product,” Umahi said.

He praised President Tinubu for prioritizing infrastructure as a catalyst for national development and reiterated the administration’s determination to fast-track completion of the ongoing projects.

“I commend Mr. President for his unwavering commitment to the development of critical infrastructure across Nigeria,” Umahi stated.
