Tinubu Receives Gabonese President Brice Oligui Nguema at Aso Rock

Abuja, Nigeria – June 27, 2025

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on Friday, welcomed the President of Gabon, Brice Oligui Nguema, at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

This was disclosed in a brief statement released by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.

“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu receives Gabonese President, Brice Oligui Nguema, at the Presidential Villa Abuja on Friday 27/06/2025,” the statement read.

Photographs from the visit showed both leaders in a cordial exchange at the State House. However, as of the time of filing this report, details of their closed-door meeting had not been made public.

Earlier in the week, President Tinubu also received Queen Mary Elizabeth of Denmark at the State House, Abuja. During her visit—which marked her first to Nigeria—the President emphasized the need for enhanced bilateral cooperation in areas such as livestock development, veterinary health, and education.

The Danish Queen’s visit was jointly hosted by Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, and was seen as a step toward strengthening diplomatic and developmental ties between both nations.
