A teenager identified as Abdulsamad Suleiman has allegedly clubbed a housewife to death after robbing her of three mobile phones in Kano, Northwest Nigeria.

The Kano State Police Command has confirmed its operatives have arrested the 18-year-old after a report by the victim’s husband.

The spokesperson for the police in the state, SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa said the suspect was in police custody.

He said, “The suspect, identified as Abdulsamad Suleiman, has confessed to the police that he entered the woman’s room, found her in bed and carted away three phones.

“As he turned to leave the scene, he suspected that the woman had identified him, so he picked up a pestle and hit her on the head. He also hit her two children and then ran away with the phones.
