Taraba State University Student Found Dead in Boyfriend’s Residence – Police Launch Investigation

 

Shock waves and mourning has enveloped the Taraba State University community following the discovery of a female student’s lifeless body in the Bakasi area of Jalingo, metropolis.

The deceased, identified as Comfort Jimtop Oliver, was a 100-level student in the Department of Mass Communication and hailed from Takum local government council of the state

According to preliminary reports, her body was found in a residence said to belong to her boyfriend.

The circumstances surrounding her death remain unclear at the time of filing this report, however, the Police said an investigation has been launched to unravel the incident.

Authorities say efforts are underway to determine the cause of death and establish the events leading up to the tragedy.

The university community has been left reeling from the incident, with students and staff expressing deep sorrow over the sudden loss of a promising young life.

Though the university spokesperson could not be reached at the time of filing this report, some staff of the institution confirmed the incident.

They confirmed that the institution in collaboration with the police will leave no stone unturned to uncover what led to her death.

Also confirming the incident, the police spokesperson in the state, James Lashen, said the details surrounding her death are yet to be uncovered but promised to get back to our reporter, as soon as he reached out to the Divisional Police Officer of the area.
